What would you do if you were the CEO of Google?

  • What would you do if you were CEO of Google, is the question asked by Matt Cutts, a Google software engineer, “I’m specifically interested in Big Ideas. Things like data liberation or self-driving cars. Or what’s the one huge feature missing from a Google product? In essence, what are the big products, features, or ideas that you would like to see Google work on?” He’s actually taking suggestions at his blog so if you have an idea for Google, here’s your chance to actually pitch it to them.
  • Something a little different with this study, it shows that 7 billion dollars will have been spent by years end on virtual goods. SmartPhones and Facebook have given a massive increase to this industry, think Farmville. Personally I’m not sure how to relate this to my current work, but it does show that people are very willing to part with cash for intangible products.
  • I think we can expect to hear a lot about Project Titan over the next few months, Facebooks messaging service and this article had a few interesting observations, “Social media and email have been getting closer and closer with one another for some time already. “In the past, organizations supported collaboration through e-mail and highly structured applications only,” said Monica Basso, research vice president at Gartner, who predicts 20% of employees will use social networks as a main business communication tool by 2014.”
